
The Team
Digital Infrastructure Services provides the foundational technology platforms that keep Tasmania’s public health system connected, secure and operational. The team delivers and supports enterprise data centres, compute and storage platforms, virtualisation, data protection, network connectivity, Wi‑Fi and core infrastructure services that underpin clinical, corporate and business systems across the state.
Working in a complex 24×7 always-on health environment, the team plays a critical role in service reliability, cyber resilience, asset lifecycle management, infrastructure modernisation, and the delivery of technology that directly supports frontline care. The Role
Join Digital Infrastructure Services and help support the network and communications services that keep Tasmania’s public health system connected, secure and operational.
In this entry-level role, you will assist with the day-to-day support of enterprise network, communications, Wi‑Fi and connectivity services across a large 24×7 health environment. Working with an experienced team, you will support incidents and service requests, assist with troubleshooting, maintain documentation, liaise with stakeholders, and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their ICT career to build practical experience in enterprise networking and communications while contributing to services that directly support hospitals, clinicians, staff and the Tasmanian community.
You will need
- A sound foundation in IT and networking concepts, with an interest in communications, connectivity and infrastructure support.
- The ability to support service delivery, including troubleshooting issues, assisting with incidents and service requests, and working effectively with team members, vendors and service providers.
- Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills, with the ability to follow documented processes and work effectively in a busy environment with competing priorities.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker (with on call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$68,854 to $97,915 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
