The Team

Hospital in The Home - North's sole purpose is to provide exceptional hospital level health care and ongoing support to the residents of Northern Tasmania to negate the need for hospitalisation in our mainstream facility and enable patients to remain in their own home and community under the watchful/vigilant eye of a dedicated health team which includes Medical Staff Specialists, Senior Medical Registrars, Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUM's), Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health professionals (incorporating Senior Social Workers, Senior Physiotherapists and Senior Occupational Therapists).

Working closely with Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), Medical Staff, Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse Unit Manager and a diverse multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care for patients experiencing acute illness, injury, or exacerbations of chronic conditions.

You will need

  • Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice[1].
