The Team
The Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) provides timely, high-quality nursing care in the community with a strong focus on hospital avoidance, reducing reliance on Emergency Departments, and supporting people to receive treatment safely in their own homes. The ComRRS nursing team consists of Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Registered Nurses who work collaboratively to deliver a high standard of care to community clients.
The Role
We have multiple positions available for Registered Nurses - Community. The role is responsible for delivering clinically appropriate nursing care, working collaboratively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes. The position involves assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care, while contributing to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice, and the delivery of safe, person-centred services.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge and the ability to provide safe, evidence-based care in a community setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- A commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and continuous development of nursing practice.
- Well-developed assessment, education and care coordination skills, with a focus on helping clients remain safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospital presentations.

Details of appointment
Permanent - up to full time, shift worker position, commencing as soon as possible.
Multiple roles available.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
Salary Packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Driver’s Licence
