Job description:

The Operations Support Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Triple Zero Communications Centre, providing administrative, payroll and organisational support across the team. Working closely with the leadership group, the role assists with workforce administration, coordination of meetings and documentation, reporting, record keeping and other activities that support the smooth running of the Centre.

The Team

The Ambulance Tasmania Triple Zero Communications Centre is a dedicated team working around the clock to connect Tasmanians with emergency ambulance care when they need it most. The team manages Triple Zero calls, assesses and prioritises incidents, coordinates ambulance resources, and supports frontline crews, working together to deliver a responsive and effective statewide emergency service.

The Role

The Operations Support Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Triple Zero Communications Centre, providing administrative, payroll and organisational support across the team. Working closely with the leadership group, the role assists with workforce administration, coordination of meetings and documentation, reporting, record keeping and other activities that support the smooth running of the Centre.

You will need

  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking a broad range of high-level administrative duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise, set priorities, meet deadlines and deal with a number of tasks concurrently within a demanding operational environment.
  • Well-developed computer skills and demonstrated experience in using a range of software applications, information and finance systems, and payroll processes.

Details of appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to 12 months.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
