The Team
The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) provides important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0 to 5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals and connections with other early childhood providers.
The CHaPS Residential Parenting Unit (lilinga) supports early intervention and support to families to navigate the adjustments and broad range of challenges that can arise during early parenting, equipping them with the confidence, knowledge and tools needed to support family wellbeing.
lilinga means Tasmanian Myrtle Beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii) in palawa kani, the language of Tasmanian Aborigines.
The Role
The ANUM for lilinga supports the NUM in the leadership and coordination of client-centred care including intake, triage, and admission processes, as well as post-discharge follow up. The ANUM also supports the NUM in resource management (including supporting rostering), service development, quality assurance and improvement, and the promotion of a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
You will need
- Demonstrated Child and Family Health clinical experience with the ability to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement, and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of service delivery and resource management; demonstrated ability to contribute to service improvement, policy development and innovation.
- Excellent organisational, time management, communication and teamwork skills; and advanced knowledge of clinical risk management, safety, quality and WHS principles within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 1 November 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration
