About the role

As the Ranger in Charge, you will lead a small team of 2-3 people in a remote and isolated location and coordinate, implement and oversee a diverse work program.

Located approximately halfway between Tasmania and Antarctica, Macquarie Island is a very remote workplace often referred to as living in a ‘nature documentary’.  It has a unique geology and is known for its wild natural beauty and vast aggregations of wildlife.

These environments continually provide new challenges, requiring you to use your problem-solving skills, flexibility, and judgement to achieve appropriate outcomes in line with policy and procedures.

For more detailed information about the requirements of the role, please see the 'Statement of Duties' document.
