Job description:

Design, implement and deliver strategic joint land management initiatives and assist in the development and coordination of projects, policy, and Aboriginal cultural programs.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to work with the Manager Caring for Country to design, implement and deliver strategic joint land management initiatives and to assist in the development and coordination of projects, policy, and delivery of culturally appropriate programs for the Department that are informed through connection and respectful relationships with Tasmanian Aboriginal people.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • Experience working with First Nations people, including a sound understanding of community protocols and cultural practices.
  • Relevant tertiary or equivalent professional expertise.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
