Period of Appointment
Fixed-Term, Full-time for a period of 2 years.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient and effective delivery of civil and advice law services by the State Litigation Office, including opening, closing and archiving civil files, the preparation and compiling of court and other legal documents in the Litigation division particularly for Abuse in Care.
- Undertake word processing, transcribing of audio material, preparation of correspondence and document production duties of a highly confidential nature.
- Undertake data entry including the updating and maintenance of the legal practice database, and utilise the database tools for preparation of documentation.
- Provide personal and telephone reception facilities of a high quality ensuring sensitive and confidential handling of enquiries, including attending to public enquiries, liaison with complainants and witnesses, the legal profession, courts and police.
- Provide support to other areas within Crown Law as required.
- Ordering and receipting stationery requirements and undertake daily maintenance of office equipment.
Essential Requirements
- A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (employment).
