Job description:

The Learning and Development Officer coordinates the design, planning and delivery of Community Corrections’ training program to address the learning and professional development needs for staff at all levels in the organisation.

Period of Appointment

Fixed term for 24 months.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • State-wide delivery of training modules, education sessions and information resources relevant to the work of Community Corrections.
  • Design and deliver innovative and impactful information and education programs (face to face and electronically) for target internal and external audiences state-wide.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and foster partnerships to enhance Community Corrections’ training outcomes including negotiating the delivery of relevant programs by external organisations.
  • Contribute to Community Corrections’ annual business plan, annual reports and other strategic documents as required.
  • Coordinate the development, delivery and evaluation of training programs to address key risks identified in the organisation’s training needs analysis and personal development plans.
  • Maintain appropriate records to ensure effective reporting of training delivery and client engagement.
  • Represent Community Corrections in a range of community forums and events.
  • Any other duties as required.

Desirable Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Current motor vehicle licence.
