Job description:

Excellent role for a project manager or digital business analyst to facilitate and drive projects to create custom software and digital applications.

About the role

As part of a small specialised team, the Design and Delivery Specialist (Digital Transformation) will take the lead in facilitating change, with a core focus on designing and implementing products and services for Biosecurity Tasmania’s customers.

  • Provide business analysis and project management services.
  • Conduct research to explore and document solution options and business requirements.
  • Champion methodologies and toolsets with a focus on improving the way we deliver projects.
  • Build effective relationships and manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Drive projects to implementation with continuous release processes, and with a view to a quality customer experience.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of appointment

2.5 years.

Desirable requirements 

  • Qualification in business, technology, or other professional competence like IIBA BABOK Certification, Agile (Scrum/DSDM), 6 Sigma, BPMN, Quality Management or experience in delivering industry best practices highly regarded.
  • Recognised project management certification (AIPM, PMI, Prince2, AgilePM) or equivalent level of professional competence/experience highly regarded.
  • Experience in agile or scrums teams, comfortable using agile rituals, methods, and toolsets, (e.g. Jira and confluence) or a mindset open to and keen to adopt these.
  • Experience in documenting and executing project and solution requirements in a wide range of forms of documentation over the whole project life cycle from project initiation through to testing and training. Including RFTs and RFQs, options papers and business cases, through business requirements and data specifications and benefits realisation frameworks, to user stories, use cases, test strategies, plans and test cases.
