Job description:

Provide authoritative and strategic policy advice to the Deputy Secretary, the Secretary and the Ministers on a range of issues across the heritage portfolio.

About the role

As the General Manager, Heritage you will provide strong leadership and direction to the Heritage Strategic Business Unit and strategic policy advice on a range of issues relating to the sustainable use and conservation of the State’s historic and Aboriginal cultural heritage.

About you

As an experienced, delivery focused leader your senior management background includes a strong understanding of legislation and regulatory systems and expertise in leading, developing and delivering best practice policies and strategies. You will also have excellent relationship building, collaboration and engagement skills and working collaboratively with government agencies, peak bodies and industry within a diverse and dynamic operating environment.

Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstration of an equivalent level of skills together with a proven record of executive leadership are also highly desirable.

The role is a Senior Executive office for a contract period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $183,884 to $202,163 p.a., plus 11.5% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
