Job description:
New role managing and coordinating the delivery of Stage 3 of the Tasmanian Weeds Action Fund as part of a small, specialised team.
About the role
The Weeds Action Fund Coordinator will have a passion for weed management and be committed to creating targeted weed management programs that will make a tangible difference to Tasmania’s natural environment and valuable agriculture.
- Provide support to landowners, land managers, and community groups.
- Coordinate weed planning and control activities.
- Provide policy and secretariat support to the Weeds Action Fund Steering Committee and other groups.
- Develop and implement education and awareness programs.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment
12 months.
Desirable requirements
- A current motor vehicle’s licence.
- An appropriate qualification in the area of Agricultural Science or Natural Resource Management.
- A minimum five years-experience in the delivery of natural management programs and projects.
- ChemCert or equivalent accreditation for the safe application and use of agricultural chemicals.
