Job description:

The Education and Professional Development Advisor would provide leadership in the design and delivery of the curricula for Tasmania Police post-recruit training services including Investigative Practice and Child Sexual Abuse.

Duties

The Education and Professional Development Advisor would provide leadership in the design and delivery of the curricula for Tasmania Police post-recruit training services including Investigative Practice and Child Sexual Abuse. Based on extensive knowledge and expertise in the subject area, the incumbent will proactively collaborate with different stakeholders, undertake research, and design, develop, deliver and evaluate educational programs, while also providing administrative and project support to Education and Training.

Essential Requirements

  • Sexual offences;
  • Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
  • Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
  • Making false declarations;
  • Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
  • Malicious damage and destruction to property
  • Trafficking of narcotic substance;
  • False alarm raising. 

Desirable Requirements

Degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in an educational or training environment.
