Job description:

Collaborate with agencies and cross-functional teams to create work that challenges the status quo and differentiates, and be the ‘go to’ for guidance on guardianship of a brand that you love, for an industry that is critical to our State.

Tourism Tasmania is looking for a brand marketing communications professional who is creatively driven and gets a buzz from being the ‘glue’ that keeps it all together.

As a member of the brand marketing team, you will collaborate with agencies and cross-functional teams to create work that challenges the status quo and differentiates; and be the ‘go to’ for guidance on guardianship of a brand that you love, for an industry that is critical to our State.

You will make things happen on time and on budget, with great attention to detail in delivering beautifully integrated work.

If you’re a marketer who gets things done and you have experience on either client- or agency-side, we’d love to hear from you.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Collaboratively plan and execute brand activity that builds our brand meaning and continues to differentiate Tasmania, making a significant contribution to the achievement of our brand strategy and objectives.
  • Contribute to the team’s day-to-day efforts to optimise program effectiveness and efficiency through our creative agency partnerships.
  • Support the translation of our brand strategy into effective and high quality in-market activity - coordinate the planning and execution of integrated brand marketing communications that challenge conventional destination marketing norms for Tourism Tasmania’s markets.
  • Support the day-to-day relationships, processes and contractual requirements of Tourism Tasmania’s partnerships with its creative agencies to effectively implement brand marketing activity.

What you'll work on

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of major integrated brand campaign activity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful campaign integration across all channels and with relevant external partners.
  • Project coordination of campaigns, including timelines, budget, and performance measurement.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships with our creative agencies and coordinate the day-to-day requirements of creative agency contracts to ensure compliance and value.
  • Collaborate with the Digital & Interactive Marketing team to ensure all brand activity in digital channels is brand aligned, is implemented and optimised based on performance insights.
  • Support the Brand team in ongoing brand management initiatives such as brand guidelines and tools, internal knowledge building, and brand guardianship.
  • Collaboratively lead organisation-wide understanding, alignment, and consistent representation of the brand.
  • Support other brand related projects, as required.

Who you are

You are a marketer or creative agency professional who understands brand, is creatively driven and gets a buzz from making people feel something. You look for opportunities to strategically differentiate, and you make things happen collaboratively and efficiently with great attention to detail. You are the person who keeps things moving and gets things done.

You have a passion for and understanding of the Tourism Tasmania brand and destination, and you’re keen to make a difference to the brand, the team, and the tourism industry.

Period of appointment

This is a fixed term full-time parental leave backfill vacancy for 7 months (March - November 2025).
