Job description:
The Senior Business Support Officer will provide high level business support to Community Services. The focus of this position will be within Community Services however the position may undertake activities that support all functional areas of the CGS Group from time to time.

Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available.
Duties
- Responsible for the oversight of the budget and expenditure of Community Services, including tracking of all funding commitments, managing the annual budget and liaising with both finance and grants business units.
- Provide business expertise, strategic advice and training to the Community Services business unit and CGS Group on matters related to financial and budget management including budget reporting and accounting procedures.
- Ensure all DPAC’s financial policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with government policy and guidelines.
- Coordinate business unit’s activities including QTBs, BEBs, Annual Report, communication from ministerial offices.
- Research and analyse specific issues and contribute to solutions, proposals and recommendations to achieve best practices across the Community Services unit.
- Develop and prepare high quality written documentation, including ministerial responses, briefing notes, and integrated business reports for the business unit that include financial, human resource and activity information.
- Develop, facilitate and manage effective internal and external stakeholder relationships that assist Community Services achieve its objectives.
- The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and / or significant experience in a corporate Services environment.
