Job description:
Help deliver animal biosecurity, animal welfare, invasive species, plant biosecurity and product integrity programs for Biosecurity Tasmania.

About the role
The Director (Biosecurity Operations) will oversee the delivery of national biosecurity programs within Tasmania.
- Lead a multi-disciplined and multi-function branch.
- Manage the human, financial, physical, and information resources allocated to the Branch.
- Develop program plans and the policy framework for Border Biosecurity programs.
- Ensure the development and implementation of an ongoing exotic pest and disease preparedness program.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Essential requirements
- Relevant qualifications and high-level expertise in the management of a large front-line workforce and high-level understanding of agriculture, biosecurity, and product integrity services.
