The Department is looking for people who are motivated with experience or an ability to acquire the skills to undertake compliance activities, to be part of a small, dynamic, and highly skilled team located in Launceston.
Support the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission and the Commissioner for Licensing through applying your expertise to ensure high levels of compliance of liquor and gaming activities by undertaking inspections, investigations, audits and the provision of relevant information.
You will have demonstrated abilities to be self-motivated, to plan, organise and schedule your work; to use appropriate decision-making strategies to identify solutions to regulatory issues; exercise judgement and provide sound advice.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Applying an intelligence-led, risk-based approach to undertaking inspections and audit programs to ensure the sale of liquor and provisions of gambling is in accordance with the respective regulatory frameworks;
- Conducting investigations into complaints and breaches of the relevant legislation and preparing correspondence in relation to those matters; and
- Providing sound oral and written advice on liquor and gaming compliance issues.
