Job description:
Manage the delivery of research projects to inform and measure the marketing strategy and support the delivery on key directions and priorities of the 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy.
Tourism Tasmania is a demand generator and brand leader in Tasmania’s visitor economy, connecting travellers culturally and emotionally to our island and delivering social and economic benefits shared with all Tasmanians. We have an exciting opportunity to manage the delivery of research projects to inform and measure the marketing strategy and support the delivery on key directions and priorities of the 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy.
We’re looking for a person passionate about research and analysis, collaborating with others on problem solving and identifying solutions to deliver outcomes that will make a difference to Tasmania’s future. You have an understanding of consumer market research and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, are able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with marketing, research agency partners and other stakeholders to achieve solutions.

What you'll be responsible for
- Planning and managing high-quality marketing research projects to support the activities of Tourism Tasmania.
- Evolving and managing an efficient and innovative approach to brand and market brand performance tracking, campaign success measurement and sharing of data and insights.
- The timely sharing of useful information to help ensure research and insights are effectively used.
- Representing the organisation on specific research projects or working groups, and undertake other duties as directed by the Agency.
What you'll work on
- Contribute to the design and delivery of the research and insights program to support delivery of Tourism Tasmania’s work.
- Provide market research insights and performance indicators to support marketing strategy, reporting, and organisational planning and measures of success.
- Preparing and sharing high-quality reporting, including presentations, regular performance reports, and creating/updating content for the Tourism hub.
- Staying up to date and informed about contemporary and innovative research approaches and the latest tourism trends.
- Procuring and managing multiple contractors and associated budgets to deliver effective and timely outcomes.

You are an experienced research and project management professional. You are a confident communicator who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, is collaborative, and is a big-picture strategic thinker with strong attention to detail. You are able to deliver solutions with relevant and effective outcomes.
You enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, have poise under pressure and are able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
