- Our team is responsible for managing a broad range of contracts on behalf of Tasmanian Government agencies, with the aim of ensuring these achieve value for money outcomes and deliver benefits to the Tasmanian community.
About You
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience to support a small team in the management of the Tasmanian Government vehicle fleet and to assist with the administration of whole of government contracts. On a day-to-day basis you will provide a range of administrative support functions including reporting, financial data input, responding to enquiries via phone and email, maintaining websites, and updating lists and spreadsheets.
You will be provided with plenty of support and receive access to quality learning and development opportunities. As you grow in the role, you will be provided with increasing opportunities to exercise your judgement and demonstrate your capabilities.
We are looking for an organised, motivated and capable individual with lots of potential to join our team for 2 years. You will work as part of a small, collaborative team, with plenty of opportunity to further develop your skills and experience. We are looking to get the best person for this role and there are no set views on the best background for this role; instead, we are very interested in your capacity to do the job and develop into the role.
Ideally you will be:
- willing to take on a range of tasks and responsibilities;
- highly organised with excellent attention to detail;
- able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; and

About the Branch
Procurement, Risk and Contract Management Branch provides advice on and manages the Government's procurement framework and common use contracts. The branch minimises the cost of risk to government agencies through the Government Insurance and Risk Fund.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.
Period of Appointment
This is a fixed term appointment up to 4 August 2027.
Desirable Requirements
A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
