Job description:

This position contributes by providing high-level administrative and executive support services to the Director, Policy and Projects to carry out the activities of the Policy and Projects Unit. They work within a professional and confidential environment in order to ensure an effective flow of work and information between WorkSafe Tasmania staff, the WorkCover Tasmania Board, its committees and panels.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Provide administrative and executive support to the Director Policy and Projects, Assistant Directors and Project Managers across the three regions of Tasmania, including managing and prioritising workflow.
  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the Assistant Director, Program Management and other team members, including managing diaries, phone calls, co- ordinating meetings, conferences and travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Accurately input, update and retrieve data using a number of manual and electronic information systems, such as Content Manager, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and Project management systems
  • Manage items submitted to the Executive Director for approval and prepare high quality confidential correspondence and other documentation, initiating and preparing responses where required.
  • Manage manual and electronic records, systems and processes using Content Manager.
  • Other duties as directed that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level.

Desirable Requirements

  • An ability to travel throughout Tasmania
