Job description:

Provide first level service desk support with a client focused direction, for the Department’s ICT Enterprise Operating Environment that meets the Department’s business requirements. To work as part of the ICT Desktop Services Team undertaking day to day tasks to support the Department’s staff with a range of Information Technology systems.

Duties

  • Providing highly effective customer service to the Department’s staff including resolving customer service requests and incidents in a timely manner and providing technical customer support via phone, email, instant messaging or face-to-face interaction.
  • Provide first level technical support that constitutes the corporate desktop/user ICT enterprise environment, including basic PC/laptop hardware/software and peripherals, multifunction/printing devices, mobile devices, networking, manage user accounts through Active Directory and Office 365, IP Telephony and other underlying technologies as part of the Department’s ICT Strategy.
  • Provide advice on the management, acquisition, installation, maintenance and support of the managed operating environment that enhances the day-to-day operation including specialist systems and applications.
  • Maintain standards and procedures that enhance the operation of the corporate desktop/user enterprise environment.
  • Assist in the delivery of corporate technology projects, and the preparation of documentation and advice for various audiences (technical staff and users).
  • Assist the Cyber Security team with security matters relating to this role.  

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry recognised qualifications in information ICT or a related discipline.
  • A current car driver licence
