Job description:

Working as part of a supportive team, the Graduate Engineer will provide professional engineering support and advice to work groups across the Transport Group of the Department of State Growth, that includes the Transport Policy and Planning (TPP), and Transport Delivery and Assets (TDA) Divisions, with the graduate program being coordinated from the TPP Division. The Graduate Engineer will gain hands-on experience across a variety of transport and infrastructure projects and assist in the development of practical solutions to engineering challenges. With a 3,800km state road network, road, rail, airport and port transport infrastructure across the state, and a significant 10 year infrastructure maintenance, renewal and upgrade capital works program, this is a great time to join the Transport Group within the Department of State Growth.

  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues, and potential contractors, and partner organisations, to support effective project outcomes.
  • Represent the Division at meetings and forums when required, developing professional networks and communication skills.
  • Take an active role in your professional development, identifying learning opportunities and building your skills as an emerging engineer.
