Job description:

Undertake administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the Centre for Aquatic Animal Health & Vaccines and Animal Health Laboratory.

About the role

The Administrator (Scientific Programs) will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality administrative support to the Centre for Aquatic Animal Health & Vaccines (CAAHV) and Animal Health Laboratory (AHL).

This is a diverse and rewarding position suited to a proactive administrative all-rounder.

  • Undertake a range of financial tasks including budgeting, purchasing, acquittals and financial monitoring.
  • Provide executive-level support to committees and managers within CAAHV and AHL.
  • Coordinate audits and contribute to research and development activities.
  •  Assist in the preparation, review and quality control of a range of high-quality documents and correspondence to ensure consistency and compliance.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation). 

Desirable requirements

  • A current motor vehicle driver's licence.
  • Experience with government administrative practices, including effective use of finance systems; generic and specialised software applications.
