Job description:

You will play a critical part in coordinating the administrative functions for the State Revenue Office objection processes. You will do this by initiating and undertaking a range of tasks related to the administration, investigation and analysis of a wide variety of legislative and State taxation matters. In doing so, you will provide evidence-based recommendations and communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.

About You

We are seeking a Senior Legal Analyst to join our team to coordinate the administrative functions for the State Revenue Office objection processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to initiate and undertake a range of tasks related to the administration, investigation and analysis of a wide variety of legislative and State taxation matters. In doing so, you will utilise your ability to:

  • Thoroughly investigate matters with an attention to detail.
  • Undertake research and analysis on a wide variety of legislative and State taxation matters and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Navigate complex challenges and communicate precisely and succinctly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be proactive and flexible to coordinate and conduct a range of tasks including the planning, prioritisation and completion of work activities within tight timeframes.

About the Branch

The Revenue Branch administers a range of legislation relating to taxation, grants, concessions, and rebates. This includes collecting taxation revenue, processing applications to ensure adherence with eligibility criteria, risk based and targeted auditing, ensuring decisions are based on sound legal principles and managing outstanding debts.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.

Desirable Requirements

Completion or partial completion of relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional affiliation.
