Job description:

Maintain the infrastructure and facilities at the Tasman Field Centre to ensure continued enjoyment and accessibility of our National Parks

About the role

As a Field Officer, you’ll carry out works to maintain field centre infrastructure and facilities.

  • Implement field centre operational plans.
  • Undertake reserve operational and maintenance tasks.
  • Undertake risk assessments and identify and implement procedures and actions to ensure safe workplaces and public safety.
  • On-the-job control of employees and volunteers engaged in maintenance works.

Based at the Tasman Field Centre, the gateway to the wild Tasman National Park, you’ll enjoy working outdoors among tall forests and spectacular coastlines, with opportunities to support works on the popular Three Capes Track and at Fortescue Bay.

Hours per fortnight

76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • A Trade Certificate in a discipline relevant to the duties.
  • A full Coxswain or Coxswain Restricted Diesel Endorsement.
  • A current driver’s licence.
