Job description:

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for leading PAHSMA’s marketing, communication and brand functions across a portfolio of iconic UNESCO World Heritage listed sites.

Duties

  • Develop, implement and evaluate PAHSMA’s Marketing and Communications strategies in alignment with organisational objectives and resources.
  • Lead the positioning and protection of PAHSMA’s master brand proposition, ensuring it amplifies the unique identities and propositions of each site.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice on marketing, communication and engagement priorities that influence organisational outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to build a high performing, values-driven team.
  • Exercise significant autonomy and judgement in setting priorities, allocating resources and ensuring delivery of objectives.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports, using feedback and performance development processes to strengthen capability.
  • Collaborate across directorates to ensure marketing and communication outcomes support whole-of-agency objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of campaigns, partnerships, media engagement and public relations initiatives that position PAHSMA as a leading heritage organisation.
  • Champion innovative approaches to digital marketing, social media, and content creation to increase engagement, conversion and loyalty.
  • Develop and oversee an annual marketing calendar aligned to strategic priorities, events, and site experiences.
  • Ensure effective positioning of new and existing products, events and experiences to maximise visitation and revenue.
  • Analyse market trends, performance data and audience insights to drive continual improvement.
  • Plan, manage and report on marketing and communications budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee procurement and management of external service providers, ensuring value for money and delivery against objectives.
  • Administer sponsorship arrangements consistent with PAHSMA’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Promote and model safe and respectful workplace practices that support wellbeing and performance
  • Other duties as directed commensurate with classification, skills and experience.

Desirable Requirements

  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in marketing, public relations or a related discipline.
  • Industry recognised professional affiliations.
  • Current Driver's Licence or the ability to attend sited on a regular basis.
