Job description:
Play a pivotal role in systems-related projects, contribute to enhancing work performance and explore innovative methods to improve current processes.

About the role
As Geographic Systems Administrator, you’ll assist the Manager, Infrastructure in planning, developing, and maintaining the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Provide specialist advice and support for spatial services and projects, including in-house Asset Management System (AMS)/GIS systems-related projects that require interaction across PWS.
- Explore innovative methods to improve current AMS/GIS related processes for enhancing work efficiency and productivity.
- Perform complex spatial data analysis from various data sources.
- Maintain spatial databases, associated metadata, and system documentation.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Desirable requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems or Information Technology.
- Demonstrated experience in the management and operation of GIS, relational databases and reporting systems, preferably ArcGIS and SQL Server.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
