Job description:
The Senior Project Manager, State of the Environment Report will lead the project to successfully prepare and deliver the State of Environment Report (SOE) within time and budget allocation. The role will develop effective relationships with government agencies and a range of external stakeholders and report to the Commission through the State of Environment Advisory Committee (SOEAC) in relation to the project management and delivery.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the delivery of the SOE Report, including the implementation of appropriate quality assurance actions and review of project planning outputs and outcomes.
- Manage resources and provide leadership within the work area to ensure that SOE Report is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Establish, maintain, and develop effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, being sensitive to their needs while delivering agreed project outcomes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities to support the delivery of the SOE Report.
- Provide high level, advice to the Executive Commissioner, the chair of SOEAC and Commission on the SOE Report, including development of and input into strategic and operational plans.
- Conduct investigations and analysis, in cooperation with others, to deliver the outputs for the SOE Report; including preparing any relevant briefs, submissions, reports and communications.
- Represent the Commission in interdepartmental and intergovernmental forums.
- Establish and provide strategic direction to reference and advisory groups as required.
Desirable Requirements
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
- Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications
