About the role

Contribute to the Department’s annual budget development and management process including the preparation of financial reporting and analysis. Provide advice and technical support on contemporary financial management and contribute to the development and application of policies and procedures associated with budgeting, accounting and financial reporting.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Pre-employment requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The following check is to be conducted:

1. Conviction check for Crimes involving Dishonesty.

Desirable requirements

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
• Eligible for membership of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or other professional body.
