Job description:
Get a foot in the door with Parks and Wildlife Service in a rewarding role that contributes to the care and sustainable use of our natural and cultural assets.
About the role
As a Field Officer based at Ulverstone, you will carry out a wide range of work to maintain field centre infrastructure and facilities — from building and repairing tracks to managing weeds and responding to wildlife call‑outs.
You will play an important part in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, regularly liaising with bushwalking groups, local councils, and mountain bike clubs.
This role spans two major reserves in North‑West Tasmania: Mount Roland and the Dial Ranges. These areas offer strikingly diverse environments, from rugged rocky slopes with sweeping views to dense eucalypt forests and cool, shaded gullies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors while benefiting from the convenience of being based in Ulverstone, close to local amenities.

Hours per fortnight
76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).
