Job description:

Provide operational support and advice on complex human resource management and organisational development activities. Provide strategic workforce related advice to the Associate Director Business Services, and the Tasmania Legal Aid (TLA) Executive and Management Group, to support TLA’s strategic direction.

Duties

  • Provide high level advice on human resource and employment management activities.
  • Provide high level strategic advice to the Associate Director Business Services, Executive and Management Teams with a focus on achieving the organisation’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in the development and review of employment related policies and procedures to support TLA’s strategic direction and operational staffing requirements.
  • Support and assist in the coordination of organisational, service area and staff performance development training activities.
  • Assist the TLA Executive in the preparation, progression and coordination of organisational and workforce-related reports and activities including establishment management, WHS and risk management.
  • Actively participate and undertake assigned activities as a key stakeholder within relevant organisational working groups.
  • Liaise and consult with Departmental corporate support services to ensure compliance with employment directions and other legislative requirements.
  • Participate and effectively contribute to and promote activities that support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Perform such other professional duties or projects as required from time to time in accordance with the skills, competence, and training of the occupant.
