Job description:
Assisting the Child Safety Reform Implementation Monitor, the position contributes to the provision of high level research, analysis, policy advice and policy development, and supports the delivery of the annual report and ongoing functions and activities of the Office.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Undertake research and prepare high level policy advice on matters related to the oversight of the government’s response to the Commission of Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse in Tasmanian government institutions and other inquiries.
- Develop and implement systems and policies to support the establishment and ongoing functions and activities of the Office of the Implementation Monitor.
- Review and interpret information, with a view to analysing, summarising and presenting information in a way that is clear and understandable to the audience.
- Prepare responses to complex enquiries from a range of individuals and organisations and liaise with stakeholders.
- Develop relationships and liaise with other State Service Agencies, the community sector, advisory groups, children and young people, and victim survivors utilising a trauma informed approach.
- Prepare high quality documentation, working papers, reports, briefings and correspondence.
- Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competence and training of the occupant.
Essential Requirements
Current Tasmanian Registration Working with Vulnerable People (Registration Status-Employment).
Desirable Requirements
A degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
