Job description:
Plan, oversee and deliver front-line regulatory operations undertaken by the regulatory team, ensuring operations are aligned to EPA strategic priorities, to prevent harms to Tasmanian communities and the environment from pollution.
About the role
Daily activities for Industrial Regulation include managing and ensuring compliance by regulated industries with environmental requirements and reporting obligations. These activities include liaison with industry, government departments, local government and the public, review of environmental management plans and monitoring data, auditing, site inspections and managing regulatory non-compliance.
As one of two Section Managers for Industrial Regulation, you will plan, oversee and deliver front-line regulatory operations undertaken by the regulatory team, ensuring operations are aligned to EPA strategic priorities, to prevent harms to Tasmanian communities and the environment from pollution.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Desirable requirements
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- A degree in Science or Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Several years relevant post qualification experience.
