
In this role you will lead and manage a business unit that works closely with clients, some of whom may be experiencing significant challenges related to their circumstances or disability. This may include people living with mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, age‑related conditions, or congenital or intellectual disabilities. As the manager of the unit, you will ensure staff approach each interaction with respect, service and integrity.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Major Functions
- Lead and manage the Personal Services business unit and participate as an active member of the Public Trustee Leadership Group, modelling the Public Trustee’s values of respect, service and integrity in all activities.
- Provide expert advice on a range of complex financial administration issues, providing guidance, training and direction to the Personal Services Team Leaders in the resolution and on-going management of client matters, exercising a high level of delegation, and act as an escalation point in the resolution of complaints and investigations.
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators and service benchmarks and standards for core activities.
- Responsible for the proactive management of psychosocial risks within the business unit, monitoring workloads, job demands, evaluating total caseloads and devising strategies to manage resources.
- Responsible for investigating WHS incidents relevant to the Personal Services business unit to identify root cause and document remedial actions taken, actively promoting wellbeing supports such as professional supervision and EAP.
- Ensure Personal Services staff undertake the required training to deliver safe, efficient, effective, integrated and client focused services. Manage and co-ordinate team members to embrace the concept of a client service culture based on proactive relationship management.

- Disciplinary action in previous employment.
- Identification check.
Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in trustee industry, social/disability sector or financial services environment are highly desirable. An understanding of contemporary social issues such as elder abuse and disability rights and inclusion will be advantageous in this role.
