Job description:
The position is responsible for ensuring the effective flow of information between the Department of Justice and Ministerial offices.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Liaise with staff across the Department, independent statutory bodies and other stakeholders to ensure the timely preparation of high quality correspondence, briefings, and other documents for the various Ministers to whom the Department is responsible.
- Provide high quality advice and support to staff across the Agency in relation to departmental and Ministerial procedures, requirements and standards.
- Act as the key point of contact for the various Ministerial offices in relation to the flow of information, provision of advice and documents.
- Manage the preparation of Cabinet and Parliamentary documents, by coordinating input from staff across the Agency and ensuring that documents comply with relevant requirements.
- Prepare Ministerial and departmental correspondence, reports and submissions relating to the functions of the Department of Justice.
- Prepare requisite documents and provide support for Ministers and Departmental staff during parliamentary sessions and other key government processes, such as Budget Estimates Committees, as appropriate.
- Assist with the development of ministerial and other documentation and review draft documents to ensure the content is accurate and the documents are well written and presented.
- Provide efficient and effective Ministerial information and document tracking systems and advise Agency Executive in relation to outstanding actions and overdue correspondence.
- As required from time to time, perform other tasks relevant to the skills and experience of the position classification.
