Job description:

Lead the implementation of the Deer Control Program in peri-urban areas of Tasmania, to meet the objectives of the Tasmanian Wild Fallow Deer Management Plan 2022-27.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to lead the implementation of the Deer Control Program in peri-urban areas of Tasmania, to meet the objectives of the Tasmanian Wild Fallow Deer Management Plan 2022-27 and contribute to deer management control programs in peri-urban environments statewide.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of appointment

2 years.

Desirable requirements

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • A current firearms licence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
