Job description:

The position facilitates the effective and efficient operation of Crown Law’s information management systems, by utilising best practice, innovation and technical expertise in all areas of information management and driving the use of the management systems across the organisation.

Period of Appointment

Fixed Term - 2 years from date of appointment 

Hours per fortnight

Part time - 44.10 hours (6 days per fortnight)

Duties

  • Provide project management support and technical expertise to the development, implementation and review of strategic information management needs and solutions.
  • Design and implement information quality procedures to maintain the integrity of system data.
  • Design, prepare and distribute information reports for inclusion in Annual Reports and in reports to clients.
  • Administer the Practice Management Systems and the Electronic Document Management System including development of business rules, as applicable.
  • Coordinate the electronic conversion of documents including archiving and disposal of records, in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Provide information technology support to assist with the maintenance and operation of IT hardware, software and systems within Crown Law including testing and identifying issues and referring issues to ICT Services as required.
  • Perform other duties appropriate to this role and within the scope and classification of the position.

The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment.
  3. Identification check.
