Job description:

The Project Director RWVP-E will lead the multi-discipline RWVP-E Project Team and the successful delivery of the RWVP-E Project’s outputs and outcomes.

Period of Appointment

Fixed-term for a period of 2 years. 

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure effective delivery of the RWVP-E Project, including the implementation of appropriate project management plans, controls and a quality management framework.
  • Manage assigned project resources and provide leadership to the project team and stakeholders to ensure delivery is within approved project budget, schedule and to agreed quality standards.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, being sensitive to their needs while enabling the achievement of agreed project outcomes.
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across the project’s scope including legislative/policy, stakeholder engagement, ICT/technical, and project administration requirements.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities including the provision of strategic direction to reference and advisory groups as required.
  • Provide high level advice to the Project Sponsor, Business Owner and System Owner including formal project status reporting to governance entities.
  • Prepare relevant briefs, submissions, reports and communications.
  • Represent the department on project specific related matters.
  • The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

Essential Requirements

  • A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, or relevant qualifications and high-level expertise in program, project and change management.
