Job description:
Provide support to the Facilities Operations Coordinator in the overall management of the day to day operations of the team. Assist in the provision of high level, efficient, effective and client focused facility and building management services for both recurrent maintenance and statutory in a highly responsive environment. Develop and advise on risk management and quality management systems to support appropriate and contemporary contract management practices. In collaboration with the Facilities Operations Coordinator manage and support the Local Facility Services Team to ensure successful operations and service provision.

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

Duties
Provide support to the Manager Facility Operations in the overall management of the day to day operations of the team. Assist in the provision of high level, efficient, effective and client focused facility and building management services for both recurrent maintenance and statutory in a highly responsive environment. Develop and advise on risk management and quality management systems to support appropriate and contemporary contract management practices. In collaboration with the Manager Facility Operations manage and support the Local Facility Services Team to ensure successful operations and service provision.
Period of Appointment
Ongoing - ASAP Start Date
Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

73.5 hours per fortnight
Essential Requirements
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
Desirable Requirements
- A current driver’s licence.
- Membership of a relevant professional organisation and/or relevant academic qualifications.
