Job description:

In partnership with local communities, assist with developing and maintaining the Early Learning for 3 Year Olds (EL3) trial in designated communities. At the direction of the Manager, Community Engagement, work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local and state government agencies and service providers to support the place-based approach to the design and delivery of the EL3 trial.

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.  Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

About the Role

At the direction of the Manager, Community Engagement, work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local and state government agencies and service providers to support the place-based approach to the design and delivery of the EL3 trial.

Period of Appointment

ASAP until December 2026

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

29.4 hours per fortnight (2 days per week)

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
  • A current driver’s licence.

Desirable Requirements

  • An appropriate qualification, such as a qualification in Child Care, Early Childhood Education, Health Care and/or Community Development, or a related discipline.
