Job description:

To implement and manage appropriate learning programs for students and to assess individual student progress. To assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of a particular sector of a school or college.

The Team

Dunalley Primary School is a small Tasmanian primary school situated overlooking the beautiful Blackman Bay in the heart of the Dunalley township located 57 kilometres from Hobart. Following the bushfires of 2013 when the school was destroyed, a new school was rebuilt on the site opening in 2016. The new school is a welcoming, vibrant place of learning.

The school was established in 1885 and has a long tradition of developing young people of character with a firm focus on the wellbeing of our students. As a community, we aspire to be people of integrity who act with humility, kindness, courage and respect. Our highly skilled staff are committed to the holistic development of each student within a nurturing environment where students are challenged to be the best they can be.

About the Role

We are offering

  • 2 February 2026 to 21 December 2026
  • 70 hours per fortnight

We are looking for

Essential

  • A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000
  • Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment

Desirable

  • Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005
