Job description:

The Administration Officer provides high-level clerical and administrative support that contributes to the efficient operation of the Education and Care Unit. This includes client-focused reception services, general administrative assistance, and support for operational processes such as maintaining information systems that enable effective team functions and business operations. The role ensures timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks and supports the Unit’s objectives by delivering quality customer service, maintaining records and systems, and assisting with financial and logistical processes. The position plays a key role in enabling the Unit to meet its regulatory and service delivery responsibilities.

The Team

The Education and Care Unit (ECU) within the Strategy and Performance portfolio provides regulatory oversight and support for education and care services across Tasmania. The Unit ensures compliance with national standards and promotes continuous quality improvement to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

The ECU works collaboratively with service providers, stakeholders and internal teams to deliver efficient administrative and operational support that underpins the Department’s commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

About the Role
