
About the Role
As a member of Information Strategy and Systems, the overall focus is to deliver improved outcomes for clients of Services for Children and Families (SCF), and Services for Youth Justice (SYJ) through:
- Providing SFC and SYJ staff with highly effective information systems that enable accurate recording of information to inform SFC and SYJ interactions and interventions, risk assessment and decision making.
- Supporting SFC and SYJ staff in efficiently recording and accessing high quality information to improve safety and quality of care of SFC and SYJ clients.
- Delivering business improvement through enhancement of existing information business systems and implementation of new business systems that support quality of care and safety of SFC and SYJ clients.

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1 Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences
2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
Desirable
- Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or relevant training
