Job description:

Provide leadership and direction in the delivery of the Intensive Family Engagement Service (IFES) program by non-government providers to meet the support needs of families and provide for the safety of children and young people during the service provision period. In conjunction with service providers, relevant Agency staff and key stakeholders, lead a process of continual service improvement to ensure that IFES provides a service tailored to the needs of the Tasmanian community. Coordinate the operation of the IFES support unit and ensure that IFES is delivered to agreed service quality standards as part of an integrated service delivery approach within the wider family support service system.

The position is statewide, so the successful applicant can be based in any region in Tasmania. The position requires some intrastate travel.

We are looking for

Essential

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution, and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.   
  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
1 Conviction checks in the following areas:
 
a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences
 
2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check

  • Current Driver’s Licence
