Job Summary: |
This is a continual advertisement for Cleaner positions at SUNY Brockport. This posting will remain open until filled.
Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis when positions become available.
Cleaners perform routine manual labor requiring medium to heavy physical effort, with basic knowledge of various cleaning products and equipment; and the ability to climb scaffolding. The cleaner positions may be available for various shifts and may be full or part-time. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Non-competitive; must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and to communicate effectively to obtain and convey information. Applicants must be able to perform the following responsibilities:
- Cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, using auto scrubbers, shampooers and burnishers).
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor (up to 30 pounds).
- Work well independently as well as in a group setting.
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
- Safe use and application of cleaning chemicals.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.
