Job Summary: The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for a Director of Student Services. The person in this role oversees all aspects of student services at the REOC. They are responsible for the overall planning, supervision, assessment, evaluation, operation and management of all student services departments and functions reporting to the position including: enrollment management services, college connections, counseling, testing and registration and student records. The Director of Student Services is responsible to create, implement and oversee organizational systems to ensure a seamless and integrated experience for students. The Director of Student Services will report directly to the Dean/Executive Director of the REOC, and is sometimes responsible for REOC in the absence of the Dean/Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Student Services, Counseling, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• At least 5 years of progressive and relevant work experience including substantial work at a managerial level, preferably in an educational institution.
• Three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Experience working with diverse student and organizational populations.
• Excellent written, oral communication and technological skills.
• Available to work occasional evenings and weekends with the ability to travel from the REOC campus to meetings and events.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Terminal degree from an accredited higher education institution in the US or abroad.
• Experience in counseling and/or case management.
• Experience working with staff in a unionized environment.
• Familiarity with legal issues and policies related to students.
• Ability to handle challenging situations and resolve conflicts.
• Knowledge of Banner, Blackboard, and Brightspace.

Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week/one evening per week
Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $85,000. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
