About the Position |
The Program Coordinator position serves as the main point of contact for the department, provides programmatic and administrative support, for 10-15 permanent and part-time faculty and staff in the Department of Design. The position is under direct supervision of the Administrative Services Manager. Duties include: registration management, schedule building, student advising and outreach, portfolio review preparation and notification, general program and office support, and other duties as assigned.
This is a 10.5-month, .75 FTE position.

Required Qualifications |
- Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience and three years of experience working in an office environment
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop programs (Word, Excel, Access, Teams and Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Maintain Confidentiality
- Work effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff
- Ability to establish and maintain a friendly, collaborative team environment
- Communicate professionally and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and others within and outside of the organization
- Excellent English spelling, grammar and proof-reading skills
- Manage time well and work effectively when multi-tasking under multiple deadlines
- Ability to effectively follow instructions and office procedures
- Ability to generate high-quality work with careful attention to detail in an environment with frequent disruptions
- Work independently with minimal oversight and take initiative to meet deadlines without prompts from supervisors
- Work proficiently with relational data base systems to access queries, reports, and student information
- Independently compose, edit, and proofread departmental correspondence, reports, and notices using Microsoft Office with a high level of functional expertise
- Learn new tasks quickly, correct errors, and improve the quality of the work product with each repetition

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Recent experience with portfolio preparation and outcome notification
- Recent experience with design in an educational setting
- Experience with college recruitment
- Experience working with youth
- Experience with Banner, Concur, Degree Works, Navigate
- Experience with academic advising in a higher education system
- Experience with Drupal or other website management platform
- Experience with various social media platforms

Salary |
$2,495 - $3,338/month (@.75 FTE) depending on qualifications and experience |
