Portfolio Manager / Senior Portfolio Manager (Hong Kong Branch)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement investment decisions for individual accounts, ensuring alignment with client objectives and guidelines.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of fixed income and cash positions across accounts, maintaining optimal portfolio performance.
  • Oversee the investment of new accounts, review and apply client guidelines, address client-specific requests, and manage cash flows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Senior Portfolio Managers, Legal/Compliance, Sales/Marketing, Trading, and Investment Operations, to ensure seamless account management.
  • Leverage quantitative portfolio management tools, including portfolio optimization techniques, to enhance portfolio performance.
  • Participate in and lead project-based initiatives for the Global Portfolio Management group, Senior Portfolio Managers, research teams, and clients.
 

Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or related fields.
    • CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Prior experience in industry-related areas preferred.
    • Existing SFC Type 9 Responsible Officer (RO) or HKMA Type 9 Executive Officer (EO) license preferred.
    • Candidates with a strong track record and eligible to obtain an EO license are highly encouraged to apply.
  1. At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in discretionary account management under a Type 9 license within the past 6 years.
  2. Minimum 2 years of management experience within the past 6 years.
  3. Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Law.
  4. Passed HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1 and 6 within the past 3 years.

    • Exceptional command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
