The Part Time International Recruiter and Advisor is an in-person, hybrid position of recruiting for international programs and advising international students. International recruitment through webinars, in person events to recruit transfer F-1 students and other recruitment duties. Ensures international students and the University are following federal rules and regulations for F-1 and J-1 visa holders. Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the University and advises on visa, immigration and SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) processes.  This job does not provide health insurance or retirement plan options.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - Geography (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The duties of the Graduate Teaching Assistant, under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty with various lab related tasks, performing classroom instruction, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned. Teaching schedule will vary dependent upon lab schedule, lab prep, in class lab time, and post lab work. The position requires the graduate student to teach labs in Physical Geography I, Physical Geography II, Physical Geology, and Historical Geology. The TA will teach three labs each semester and spend approximately twenty hours grading and prepping for future labs. Director, Undergraduate Admissions Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions is a highly visible member of the campus community. They are expected to have a rich understanding of strategic enrollment management best practices, and a high level of initiative and motivation to achieve institutional goals, provide excellent customer service, and enroll qualified students. The Director of Undergraduate Admissions manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, including supervision and evaluation of all office personnel. The position also manages prospective student outreach, recruitment, evaluation, admission, and yield. University Student Assistant - Sociology (Spring 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
The student who fills this position will be assisting a Sociology faculty member, Dr. Brianna Turgeon, with a research project. The Sociology Department is seeking a University Student Assist with interest in learning about the social science research process. The student assistant duties will involve transcribing (creating typed versions of audio recordings) research interviews conducted with Harry Potter fans and former fans to understand their identity and behavior change in the wake of J.K. Rowling's transphobic social media posts. Getting involved with the project also comes with future opportunities to work on the project for a combination of paid positions and academic credit during future semesters. Additionally, there will be opportunities to attend and present at conferences in the fall 2025 semester. This is a great experience for students interested in pursuing graduate school or applied work in the social sciences. Previous research knowledge/experience is an asset, but not required.
