Job Summary:
The HR Generalist - Compensation/HRIS is responsible for managing and administering the compensation programs for the institution. This role involves conducting market research, analyzing compensation data, and ensuring competitive and equitable salary structures. The HR Generalist will work closely with various departments to provide guidance on compensation-related matters and ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations. This position also assists with HRIS system management ensuring the integrity of data and processing regulatory reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct job analysis and market research to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Support compensation planning and salary administration, including reviewing and advising on salary changes.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional compensation policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate compensation data in the HRIS and generate reports as needed.
- Provide guidance to management and staff on compensation-related issues.
- Participate in the development and implementation of compensation-related projects and initiatives.
- Maintain University’s position management system and processes and serves as a consultative resource for the University community on job design and the development, modification, and reclassification of position.
- Administer the review, analysis, and accurate disposition of all personnel actions, providing support to Hiring Managers in determining personnel considerations, assisting with the submission of requests, and the preparation of the Personnel Action Committee agenda.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Office in ensuring personnel actions are processed accurately and timely.
- Facilitate the maintenance of the University’s position structure and assignments; ensures appropriate practices are employed to establish, monitor, and control position assignments; works closely with Talent Acquisition.
- Create and maintain electronic forms system ensuring the timely and appropriate disposition of actions and updates department electronic forms as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, Ten (10)+ years of full-time Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in HR or Accounting
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in HRIS and compensation software & excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP; SPHR/PHR
- Previous experience in a higher education setting
- Experience with Compensation Administration
|
